Bourdain Gets All PC about the South

Did you see the South Carolina edition of No Reservations last night?
Anthony Bourdain and his crew filmed the episode last spring, and it finally aired on Monday night. In it was all the things we were promised — a cocktail party with the Lee Brothers, an oyster roast, a visit to Sweatman’s, Gullah food, [...]

Anthony Bourdain in Charleston Update

Remember last spring, when your intrepid foodies at the City Paper spent almost a week tracking the footsteps of Anthony Bourdain as he toured Charleston?
Well, it ended in an interview with the famous chef/author/TV host at the Pavilion Bar and resulted in a piece about his visit to town and the upcoming season [...]

“I want to be able to write a check to each family [...]

Sublime Local Farm Products

Curtain Call for Jazz Night @ FIG

The word from Mike Lata was disappointing last night. FIG will end its popular Tuesday night jazz sessions with Quentin Baxter next week. The place should be jammed Tuesday night for the final show, but after that you’ll have to scoot on over to Charleston Grill to catch Baxter and Co.
